Don't fall into the awareness trap.

I saw a lot of posts last week about the importance of awareness, and they bother me.

Many of those posts say something like, “Once you have awareness, you could work on them”. And that could be interpreted as trying harder, do something about it, change it.

I don’t have a problem with awareness. That’s definitely the first step.

But I’ve worked with many clients who are stuck and unable to get out by themselves. Many, like me, have worked with therapists and still unable to break free. And I hear them say

“What’s wrong with me? I know the problem. I know what I need to do. But in spite of it all I can’t stop.”

It makes them feel worse!

Because with many, it’s not a conscious “do something” problem. It’s a subconscious block that is in the way.

Here’s what I mean:

  • One client needed to set up a website. But every time she sits to plan it out, she feels this strong urge to push it away.
  • Another is aware that she hesitates and change directions a lot when talking to others. But she can’t help constantly reacting to her audience.
  • Another knows that she has to go out there and meet people. But it’s more comfortable to enjoy her own company than face another rejection.

With all of them, it was an unconscious block that held them back. They were very aware of what’s wrong. But “trying harder” hasn’t gotten any results.

That’s why I deal with the block energetically through Release! and we resolve the issue in one session. We test the resistance afterwards and the change continues to get deeper in the days to come.

It's that easy. It doesn't have to be hard to deal with. Nor does it have to take a long time.

It’s the same when you’re building a business: You need to reach out, to become more visible, to talk about yourself and your services more, to charge more, to invite your ideal clients to work with you.

But you feel awkward instead of excited. You feel like an impostor instead of empowered. You lean back instead of leaning in. Or worse, you freeze.

You put out posts and no one reacts. You talk to prospects and they don't call back. You're not attracting the clients you want.

Do you see why it’s not a “do something" problem anymore, it’s energetic.

It’s the uncomfortable feelings that bubble up when you even think of what you need to do. It’s the patterns of self sabotage that comes up when you’re close to succeeding. It’s the voices in your head feeding your self-doubt.

Are you tired of trying? Don’t give up. Maybe it’s not about trying more but about letting go of these blocks.

I'm here to support you.

There is a better way of making things happen in life! You don't have to struggle like everyone else. I remember several years ago, we had two properties, two mortgages, and I was making a choice between finding another contract position or going full time for a lot of pay. I couldn't decide because the full time work was secure but the taxes would be about double since I couldn't expense things anymore. On the other hand, that was the time when companies were scaling down from their hiring...

I want to share something that might make a difference for you... All my life I've been focused on my outer game: acquiring new skills, strategically planning my moves and actions, listing out pros and cons of certain choices. But these last few years have taught me the importance of also working on my inner game: addressing the root cause of my fears, figuring out my patterns, bringing my limiting beliefs to light and making decisions to choose differently in alignment with my desires....

When I started my business, I thought to myself "How hard could it be? I've already been doing this work for years, I'm just doing it for myself instead of as an employee." And how wrong I was! When I looked at the beginning of my career, I see now that I wasn't alone. The whole class of 92 was looking for jobs together. We were sharing leads and tips. We were all experiencing disappointments and getting back up again. I didn't feel behind. When I started in a new company, I had a boss who...
